    Not as oppressed as …
Not as oppressed as Muslims are being oppressed by Indians in Kashmir. Or Christians who are beaten and killed by Hindus.

  2. turninkeys says:

    Yes it is. Some …
Yes it is. Some men will never accept slavery to other men. Only to God will they be slaves. These men are called muslims and the religion they follow is called Islam. And why is it that non-muslims always act as dictators compelling muslims to abandon the good and follow their evil and corrupted ways?

  3. sunithdz1 says:

    why is it that …
why is it that wherever there are even a small minority of muslims in any country in the world there will always be killings and bloodshed !!!

makes you wonder what is that common trait that connects all the places palestine , chechnya , kashmir , kosovo , mindanao in phillipines , southern thailand , and now xinjiang !!! no surprises for guessing ,, its the religion !!!

    So everytime that …
So everytime that someone comes out to speak against China, she/he must be right? What if she is wrong, what if it is a riot and the Chinese suffered. From this comment, I can tell the opinions are very one sided…and clearly, you just hate Chinese, putting the stereotype on Chinese…not its government, not it’s communist party, but Chinese as a race…am I right?

  7. MrEventhorizon says:

I do not know what …
I do not know what defines a country’s culture bcos i am not a sociologist but I seriously think that oppressing human beings is a crime and must not be committed. The chinese government through this act has proven that they are truly an opresive government and proves the words of the tibetans true.

  8. MrEventhorizon says:

    First of all this …
First of all this is not BBC this is Al Jazeera. and Second of all , every country gives priorities and privileges to their Minorities..in India the Muslims are given free tickets for Haj as well as they are given special piviledges in schools, colleges and even in public sector jobs. This is common in other countries also. So I dun find any logic in your comment.

    Uighurs are not …
Uighurs are not chineese ppl, they are ethnically and culturally different ALOT from chineese, language , culture, religion, and everything else. A very Beautyful and peaceful people.

China is opressing every religion in its country because of – “no place for cultural diversity” in communist utopia. They are systematicly making real chineese ppl move to uighur country, so they can be imilated. Rammadan and faste is not chineese culture, thats why its getting banned.

    I’ve a German …
I’ve a German Muslim friend travelled to China last year, he was amazed by the fact that there’re so many Muslim restaurants there, much more than Germany. What he didn’t know was, in China, if you’re minor ethnic like Muslim you’d get several privileges like easier chance to enter university. Honestly, Uighurs people are respected even a bit afraid of by Chinese because of their privileges, so no way of restriction. This is not the first time BBC gives one-sided report. Truely shame…

  11. MrEventhorizon says:

    I wonder how the …
I wonder how the pakistani government will react to this since they are predominantly a muslim country and are also strong supporters of China..

    I got 2 questions:-

Who are the Uighars? I am asking this because i never heard of them before (please pardon my ignorance). Also why did the chinese banned the fastings – as i dun find any connection between fasting and terror strikes??
