Lemon Juice Detox Recipe and Important Things You Should Know
The lemon juice detox isn’t right for everyone, but it was certainly right for me. Not only have I now lost 33lbs in weight, I have regained my energy and I no longer seem susceptible to every cold and flu bug that passes my way. I feel healthier, happier and really pleased that I decided to give this a go – after much aprehension.
There are many conflicting opinions on the detox, one of the main ones that my research showed me was the ton of differing recipes out there. So let’s start by looking at the recipe I used, this is the tried and tested original recipe;
* 8 Fluid Ounces of Spring Water
* 2 Tablespoons of Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
* 2 Tablespoons of Maple Syrup Grade B
* Cayenne Pepper – Only 1/10th of a Tspn
and that is it! Nothing else, no special ingredients that you have to spend a fortune on – no special palm oils, just those ingredients you see there.
The Lemon Juice Detox is based on the original Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs and although there are tweaks and changes that people have made, I would suggest that you stick to the Master Cleanse version as this is the one that has been tried, tested and proven to work for over FIFTY years!
You may have heard the Lemon Detox being called by anyone of the following; the master cleanse, the cayenne pepper diet, maple syrup lemon juice diet, lemon detox, lemonade detox, lemonade diet, lemon cleanse and the maple syrup diet. all of them are based on the original Master Cleanse detox.
I call it the Lemon Juice Detox or the Lemon Detox, you spend so much time around lemons that it seems quite fitting! All of them are based on the tried and tested Master Cleanse and the Lemon Detox I do is exactly the same, it’s tried and tested and it’ll make you feel better than you have felt in years.
I won’t lie to you – doing the detox isn’t easy and they’ll be days at the start when you’ll probably want to give up, but you have to be in the right mindset and focus on the end result that you want. There are parts on the detox, like the salt water flush, that are frankly – vile! But you have to weigh up the good against the bad and for me there was no contest. After you get past the first few days you start to feel fantastic and even the salt water flush gets easier. But I can understand why some people dont stay on the detox for the long haul, it really is for people who are determined to get results.
I remember that around day 4 I was suffering some awful headaches and this is common, but even then I focused on my health and weightloss and got through it.
But don’t worry because with the bad comes far more good! feelings of clarity and elation kick in after day four and you will feel like you’re walking on air. As all of those toxins leave your body, you’ll start to absolutely amazing. I’d advise that you do around seven to ten days, although my first detox lasted nineteen days in the end!
So, will it be right for you? Well, I’d always suggest you check that you’re fit to go ahead with your GP before embarking on it and as long and he or she says yes, then go for it! Many GPs actively support and encourage the master cleanse and it’s many benefits are well documented, including the lowering of high blood pressure.
I wish you every success with your detox, I know that you are going to feel fabulous!
