My 2nd water fasting Experience – Day 1
June 21st 2010 (Guam is a day ahead of the states)

Water fasted from March 4th to April 2nd 2010 and followed with the 80/10/10 lifestyle (Low Fat Raw Vegan – high fruit, some veggies and nuts). JUNE 21ST One week water is HERE

I have researched this topic extensively but I am not an expert. Any and all comments, suggestions, opposing views are welcome. Please ask any questions and if I don’t know the answer I will find it. If you express opposing views please have proof/source to back it up preferably from a doctor as I have links below outlining the benefits of fasting by doctors.

    @vicky2c People have been fasting from the beginning of time – no certified folks back then. I have a friend who is a nurse & she stopped by after work once a week. All they really need to do is take your stats, ask you how your doing, how much water your drinking and make sure your not losing it :) Although this time around I’m not having her stop by since its so short.

(although it would be nice, I have too many responsibilities at home. I would love that. what state are you living in? maybe I could use the same nurse. I don’t know how I would go about that. I thought they needed to be certified in fasting.

    @vicky2c I am on day 5 now. I did a 28 day water fast earlier this year with a weekly check in with a nurse. I didn’t have any issues. This time around is going beautifully. Some people do gain a bit of weight on LFRV in the beginning- it could be muscle or just your body figuring out whats its doing. You also need to make sure you are eating tons of mono fruit meals to start with so you get acclimated to the diet. However, any long term LFRV is fit as a fiddle.

    How long are you fasting for? Are you going to be supervised if you go longer than 4 days?? It does get pretty risky to go without supervision. Anyway, good luck to you..My longest fast was 4.5 days and I was still really hungry. That was years ago. I also gained some weight on lfrv..weird.

    Yes June 21st was my day 1
    Girl having no headache is my goal to. I think as long as you dont think about the fast too much and drink your water headaches dont come. Headaches usually make me end the fast asap.
    Im excited for this journey glad more people are doing it at once

    @SilentPrayingmanTis Yeah about 5-7% of my calories come from protein while many people shoot for 40-50%. I do the P90x lean so I really don’t think there’s much resistance in there because I do lower weights/more reps. Feeling great!!!

    i have pretty severe IBS so i’m going through some crazy detox symptoms right now. the headaches and dizziness have stopped though. i just keep thinking about how rewarding day 40+ will be & that i’ll get through it.

    25 grams of protien …
    25 grams of protien a day for a women is plenty if your not breaking down muscle like doing resistance training.im not an expert but that sounds about right to me :)
