To admit your mistakes you have to be honest with yourself. The problem is that the moment you start doing that you may notice that you are not the nice person you thought you are and you start doubting yourself which isn't very good. An easy way to avoid it is to concentrate on the faults of other people so as to convince yourself that you aren't as bad as you originally thought. It may not seem like it but it is one of the most difficult things to really be honest with yourself admit your shortcomings
References :
Because when we look at ourselves and find fault we know we will have to change. We hate change. Also if we can find fault in others we tend to use that to justify our actions.
References :
because everyone wants their little satisfaction and pleasure of downing someone else. it gives them a sense of power.
we focus on others mistakes because we dont want to have to worry about our own. others mistakes seem more useful to our time...when in actuality while we're busy downin the person who made the mistake, we could be makin adjustments to our own errors
References :
Mistakes... we all make them... and we all expect others not to.

I don't really know why that is, but I agree that tends to be how people are.

I do get ticked off at myself for my mistakes.
References :
That's a great question! For some people, you are correct - it is easier to look outside of themselves and cast blame elsewhere. It is a courageous, strong, and self aware person that is brave enough to point the finger back at themselves and ask: "What could *I* have done differently in this situation?"
References :
Mistakes??
Why is it easier to focus on the mistakes of other people and get ticked off with their faults in life than it is to focus on your own errors?
Why are we sometimes blind to our own mistakes??
